Zello Institute of Education & Learning - New Courses Launched for 2023

Zello is focused on supporting organisations optimise performance in complex operating environments. We have found that teams and cultures which focused on performance, but neglected wellbeing, turned toxic and burned people out. In contrast, cultures which focused on wellbeing and neglected performance were unproductive. The most effective leaders & organizations didn’t choose between them. Instead, they stood back and built a healthy optimised-performance culture piece by piece.

Zello have developed 5 new specialised educational and knowledge sharing courses which help both leaders and organisations navigate the complex but rewarding journey to an optimised performance state. The courses are designed to address all aspects of wellbeing within any specific organisation. They are tailormade to suit each organisation and cover a vast array of subject matter ensuring that all aspects of wellness and optimised performance, wellbeing, and Mental health First Aid are addressed at all levels and all locations from executive level to field operations.

COURSE SUMMARIES:

Remote Site Working Mental Health First Aid - 3 days

This course is aimed at non-medical professionals working in remote teams and provides the initial support structures to allow early recognition and first aid approach to stress and mental health. Covering trauma risk assessments, individual and group support approaches and developing a positive workplace mental health culture.

Managing Mental Health and Wellness in the Workforce (All Levels) – 1 day

This course is aimed at middle and senior level managers and provides an overview on how to develop and support mental health and wellbeing in workforces, how to deal with negative impacts on mental health, roles and responsibilities of the employer and employee, and the leadership role in developing a positive mental health culture.

Managing Stress in Leadership – 1 day

The course is aimed at the Policy drivers within any organization, it covers how to effectively manage stress within the middle and senior management teams. The course covers recognition and management of stress, anxiety and burnout in teams, intrinsic and extrinsic factors of stress in the workplace, 5 ways how the leader can impact stress in their teams and the development of management strategies through leadership styles.

Medical Management in Major Incidents - 3 days

The course is aimed at field staff including first responders, emergency response teams and healthcare professionals to enable a structured and coordinated response for multiple casualties for those involved in on scene response capabilities. This course is based on theory and practical workshops

Health leadership and organizational culture - 2 days

Today’s workforce is a dynamic environment in which health leaders must provide leadership, management and support their teams in clinical technical and professional development. This course provides and understanding leadership theory, the variety of styles and their application to assist in the development of high performing teams.
