Zello is thrilled to welcome Dr Richard Dockins onto the Zello Group Advisory Board

Richard is a medical practitioner, Board certified in Internal Medicine and Occupational Healthcare, with a Diploma in Tropical Medicine. He is a certified Medical Review Officer (AAMRO) with medical licenses in Texas, Arkansas and Montana.

Richard’s specialities cover a broad range of challenges encountered in international corporate health, public health, tropical medicine, and health program implementation. He comes with a remarkable 25+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, namely with ExxonMobil, and a distinguished 20+ years in the United States Air Force.

During his 25 years at ExxonMobil, Richard managed the delivery of medical support services, public health programs and emergency medical response for projects in Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Qatar, Kazakstan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Korea, Papua New Guinea, Iraq, and unconventional gas projects in North America and oil sands projects in Canada. He provided extensive management oversight for ExxonMobil’s occupational health units spurning upstream production in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the Asia-Pacific regions, and managed development company support for all capital projects, upstream research and gas marketing globally. In addition, Richard provided corporate health and medical support for oil spill and incident response (including business continuity medical support for regional and global infectious disease outbreak events - MERS, SARS, H1N1, Marburg, H5N1 and Covid-19).

While serving in the United States Air Force Richard acted as an Occupational Medicine Specialist & Flight Surgeon. Including;

• Chief, Occupational Medicine Kirtland Air Force Base: 1986-1989

• Consultant, Occupational Medicine, USAF Surgeon General's Office: 1989-1991

• Chief, Aerospace Medicine, 926 FS, AF Reserve: 1991- 1994

• Chief, Aerospace Medicine, 147 FS, TXANG: 1994-1997, 2002-2004

• Clinic Commander, 147 FS, TXANG: 2004-2005

Richard has recently completed a Diploma course in Tropical Medicine with specific interest in neglected tropical diseases and zoonotic outbreaks at the Baylor College of Medicine (National School of Tropical Medicine), as well as a Fellowship in Occupational Medicine and Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Hygiene & Public Health.
