Dr Rikard Moen Appointed as Chief Medical Officer of Zello

Zello Group has today announced the appointment of Dr Rikard Moen, as Chief Medical Officer to drive the company’s medical excellence and clinical governance, as well as providing strategic and technical operational support for the business and clients. 

Dr Moen has extensive experience in international healthcare management, having held senior leadership roles at ExxonMobil, Qatar Petroleum, ADNOC, Transport for London, BUPA International, and International SOS.

He was previously at Optima Health in the UK, where he held the role of CMO and was instrumental in the development of the company’s innovative wellness solutions. Dr Moen brings widespread knowledge of corporate health, occupational health and remote healthcare to Zello.

He is Chairman of the Faculty of Remote, Rural & Humanitarian Healthcare of the Royal College Surgeons Edinburgh with a focus on leading clinical excellence across remote and humanitarian healthcare around the globe.

Dr Moen is a committee member of UK-Med, the IOMSC (International Occupational Medicine Societies Collaborative), and is the Chairman for the Society of Occupational Medicine International Group. He is also currently appointed as Vice President & Registrar at the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

He has been awarded Fellowship of both UK and Ireland Faculties of Occupational Medicine and was recently recognised as a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians for his services to health around the globe.

Dubai-based Zello specialises in monitoring the health and wellbeing of an organisation's people and operations – optimising performance in complex, remote and austere environments.

As a one of the co-founders of Zello, Dr Moen will work closely with Andrew Hames, fellow founder and CEO of the business and COO and co-founder, Travis Vincent.
